Overview
iRealRESP™ is a high-sensitivity respiratory detection technology with impedance sensitivity reaching 0.3 ohms. Measurement TheoryAs illustrated, the left diagram demonstrates Lead I-based respiration detection, while the right shows Lead II-based respiration.During respiration, thoracic movements lead to changes in chest impedance between two ECG electrodes. iRealRESP™ applies a constant current through these electrodes, capturing the resulting impedance variations. These changes generate a respiratory waveform, which the system uses to accurately calculate respiratory rate based on the waveform cycle. This method ensures stable and reliable respiratory monitoring across a range of clinical conditions.

With its Advanced Respiratory Rate Algorithm, iRealRESP™ utilizes a dual-buffer algorithm to ensure accurate and stable respiratory rate (RR) monitoring. One buffer continuously evaluates respiratory cycles to detect abnormalities—such as abrupt changes or excessively slow rates—and adaptively filters out irregular data. Simultaneously, a second buffer supports real-time RR calculation, enabling up-to-date readings while minimizing interference.
